shawnm213 (882), South Bend, Indiana, USA May 13, 2009 I always want to give them one more try, but I’ve never been a big fan of Belgian Golden ales. THe belgian yeast is front and center, sweet background, some coriander. For me, an above average golden, but that aint sayin much. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA May 11, 2009 12 oz bottle. Crystal clear pale gold with a fizzy white head that disappears quickly. Looks pretty well carbonated. Nose is mildly grainy, lightly yeasty, touches of fruit. Flavor is spicy and dry, bready and just a tad alcoholic. Drinkable but weak attempt. WakeandBake (422), Greenville, Michigan, USA May 10, 2009 Bottle. A nice light golden color with a one finger frothy white head that goes away quickly. Aroma is lightly floral, spicy, apple, coriander.,very yeasty. Flavor is banana, bubblegum, coriander.grass, light grains, notes of alcohol, and candy sugar. Light to medium body, high carbonation, crisp mouthfeel, with a dry spicy finish. Very drinkable, I would buy this again. italianjohn (337), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA May 9, 2009 Updated: May 10, 2009Pours a hazy gold little white head not much floral aroma but wham it hits you once you drink it very nice floral and simple belgian taste with a spicy bite in the end its a mid range belgian not too complex if your finding your way with a belgian this is a great starter brew MI2CA (1260), Noblesville, Indiana, USA May 5, 2009 12oz - Mild aroma of doughy yeast, lemon and spice. Pours transparent yellow with a little head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Palate is creamy. Overall a bland and boring brew. sigma23 (217), , Maine, USA May 4, 2009 pours hazy blond with small white head. not much in the aroma, sweet malts, some sugary notes, maybe a little spice in there. drinks fairly thin but sweet with typical belgian flavors. light drinker, but at 7.3 a few could make ya dizzy kazooka (39), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA May 3, 2009 12 oz bottle in a brandy snifter. Light yeast aroma. Gold colored, with a faint white ring of foam around the glass. Medium bitter, lightly sweet. Resembles more of a lager/pils than a belgian. Thin texture, light body, little carbonation. Not much going on here. Much too light in body, texture, and flavor. BritAlesRule (84), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Apr 24, 2009 Pours clear golden with small head retention and decent lacing. Mildly hoppy and spicy with something smooth and plasticene in the background. Medium-light mouthfeel with immediate mild hop presence on the tongue. I would never say this has a medium malt character. Lacks complexity, but very drinkable. Great Divide brews the big beers so well, if they wanna go Belgian, maybe they should brew a quad.
