Maddog (231), Kettering, Ohio, USA Apr 19, 2009 Damn, I knew I should have read these ratings before spending $11 on this 6 pack. This Belgian style ale starts out very clear with a nice white head that disipates rather quickly. The flavor is very light spice with very small fruit and yeast. Tastes like a watered down. Very mild with a dry, hoppy finish; just way too small in every way. BelgianBeerGal (1275), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Apr 18, 2009 Draught in the tap room. I thought it was a nice Belgian ale. True to form but nothing special. Great example of the style and a good place to start. drjay44 (757), Salida, Colorado, USA Apr 16, 2009 Draft at the tasting room. Pours a thinnish head of poor duration over a clear light yellow (SRM 10) body, no lacing .....nose is of light Belgian yeast type phenols with light clove, allspice, coriander tones.....taste is rather milder than anticipated, but again the usual clove, allspice came through, although somewhat light, this is nicely dry throughout, and alcohol flavors were always there...mouth feel is quite appropriate for the style. markwise (1132), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA Apr 15, 2009 Interesting Belgian beer. 12 oz from Warehouse Wine in Spring Hill, FL. Pours clear gold with a pillowy white head. Nose is sugar, yeast, banana, clove, some malt, hay, straw, and pepper. Flavor is reminiscent of a tripel: crisp apples, yeast, pepper, cloves and a tart finish that sticks around. Light in body and a very punctuated presence throughout the mouth. Not bad. shanepardue (107), Raytown, Missouri, USA Apr 13, 2009 Pours golden with a champagne like head. Spicy aroma with a bitter flavor. Good sipping beer. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Apr 11, 2009 12oz bottle-pours a tight foamy white head that dissipates and yellow/gold color. Aroma is some funk/yeast, light malt-hay, some pepper, dry. Nice, almost an 8. Taste is some funk/yeast, light malt-hay, some lemon/herbal hops, some pepper. Minimum carbonation. Taste is a letdown. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for sharing this. fallingleaves (13), Colorado, USA Apr 11, 2009 Light clear, yellow body with a beautiful display of lacing, but sadly diminishes quickly. Aroma composed of Sharp malt, spices sensations.. A crisp and clear tasting bear that is very approachable, in the tradition of Great Divide brews. I imagine best after a day on the slopes. Lacks the complication of even New Belgium’s Tripple, but certainly fun to drink. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Apr 1, 2009 I picked this up at Liquor Stop in Highland, IN. It pours a clear yellow/gold body with a substantial head. It has a sweet aroma of pale malt, honey, cherries, and light spices. The taste is more starightforward - pale malt and a light fruitiness followed by a soft citric bitterness. Not bad.
