Commercial Description:
Hades is brewed with a rare Belgian yeast strain that gives a complex spicy flavor and aroma. Noticeable hops and medium malt character make it an extremely well-balanced, crisp ale. Hades goes great with a bowl of fresh mussels, crusty bread, and virtually any artesian cheese.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a medium bubbly beige head. The aroma is very spicy and yeasty - very Belgian, also with a touch of fruit primarily peaches. The flavor is powerful and complex with notes of fruit, spices, alcohol, yeast, and more. The dominant spice is coriander. The alcohol is very strong and felt on the palate and warms the mouth.

(Bottle 65 cl) Clear, pale golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, malt and fruit. Full-bodied rich with sweet, pale malts, notes of fruit and vitamins and a solid bitterness in the finish. 230807

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Clear golden. Sweaty grapefruit aroma. Dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Perfumy and very hoppy with lingering bitter finish. Very American style, and quite good at that.

75 cL bottle, thanks to BelJohansen. Pours clear yellow and with a lacing white head. Fresh hoppy aroma, slight grassy. Flavour is fresh hoppy, light sweet and with a mild spice note. Lingers into the finish with a little alcohol warmth. Quite fresh hoppy brew, but close to a German pilsner. Best US imitation of a German pilsner, but so close that I wonder why I should drink this compared to the German originals. I only vaguely sense the Belgian yeast.

Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, flowers, citrus, rubber - gum notes, coriander. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (230608)

Bottled (bought from Ölkonsortiet, Aalborg). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is hops, glue, grass and some slight notes of yeast. Flavour is hops, slight pumpkin, grass, grains and glue. Something like a clash between Belgian Ale and American Pale Ale.

Bottle. Weak light caramel, bonbon aroma. Clear, shiny, very pale yellow colour. Small white head. The flavour is a lot like a tripel, slightly sweet with a little spices. Semi-rough bitterness. Well-balanced. Nothing out of the ordinary, but well-crafted.
