Ungstrup (14724), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 13, 2007 Bottled. A light golden beer with a medium bubbly beige head. The aroma is very spicy and yeasty - very Belgian, also with a touch of fruit primarily peaches. The flavor is powerful and complex with notes of fruit, spices, alcohol, yeast, and more. The dominant spice is coriander. The alcohol is very strong and felt on the palate and warms the mouth. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 2, 2007 (Bottle 65 cl) Clear, pale golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, malt and fruit. Full-bodied rich with sweet, pale malts, notes of fruit and vitamins and a solid bitterness in the finish. 230807 omhper (12153), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 31, 2007 Bottled at RBESG ’07. Clear golden. Sweaty grapefruit aroma. Dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Perfumy and very hoppy with lingering bitter finish. Very American style, and quite good at that. yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jan 16, 2008 75 cL bottle, thanks to BelJohansen. Pours clear yellow and with a lacing white head. Fresh hoppy aroma, slight grassy. Flavour is fresh hoppy, light sweet and with a mild spice note. Lingers into the finish with a little alcohol warmth. Quite fresh hoppy brew, but close to a German pilsner. Best US imitation of a German pilsner, but so close that I wonder why I should drink this compared to the German originals. I only vaguely sense the Belgian yeast. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Sep 3, 2008 Bottle 66cl. @ home. Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, flowers, citrus, rubber - gum notes, coriander. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (230608) oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland Nov 29, 2008 Bottled (bought from Ölkonsortiet, Aalborg). Golden colour, small white head. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark Jan 20, 2008 Bottle. Weak light caramel, bonbon aroma. Clear, shiny, very pale yellow colour. Small white head.
