Pours out a bright yellow color with a white head on it. Smell is fruity, full of bananas and lemons. Some malt sweetness and perhaps a little bit of hops. Not much alcohol is detected. Pretty bad at cold temps, but as it warmed it became much more interesting and drinkable. I think the lower rating is due to people drinking this one too cold. Let it warm up and its good!

Hazy and blond with nice sized lasting head. Aroma is spicy and yeasty with a touch of candy sugar. Sweet upfront before thinning as it finishes. Malts are not overly deep to keep this one thick.

Bottle. Light spicy aroma with notes of hops and the Belgian yeast.Plain flavor with a sweet body. Notes of yeast, grape and a light spicy note. Finishes with a dry palate with notes of hops and citrus. Very light alcohol warmth completes the pattern.

Pours a three finger white head that goes slowly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Nearly clear pale amber color. Nose is very slight spice. Flavor is like a unsweet honey, smooth with a clean finish. $7.70 for a 22oz bottle from Colonial Spirits, Acton, MA.

Golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is sugary with some honey and citrus poking through. Flavor has some sweet sugar/honey malt, belgian yeast, candy, and citrus but also brings a raw graininess that does not benefit the beer. Its a tough one to drink much of and not one of GD’s better efforts.

(Bottle, thanks ekstedt) Pours yellow to light golden. The aroma is of fruit and spicy yeast with tones of white pepper, light banana, apple, lemon peel and bubblegum. Undertones of toasty/bready malt and floral/herbal hops. The flavour is yeasty, fruity and spicy. Bit herbal and floral in the flavour as well. The mouthfeel is spicy, clean and a bit watery. Light to medium sweet, light bitter with a light acid touch. Medium bodied.

Bottle at the Fourth Butters’ Cellar Clearance Event. Pours a hazy yellow with large white head. Aroma of lemon citrus, clove, slight yeast notes. Flavor is clean, crisp, refreshing, with pepper, and clove. Solid example of a belgian hefe.
