Commercial Description:
Hades is brewed with a rare Belgian yeast strain that gives a complex spicy flavor and aroma. Noticeable hops and medium malt character make it an extremely well-balanced, crisp ale. Hades goes great with a bowl of fresh mussels, crusty bread, and virtually any artesian cheese.

Bottle shared by emacgee. Thanks Ethan. Sweet, easy drinking belgian here. No major complaints fro me, I actually enjoyed this much more than the first time I had it when it first came out. Easy drinking and unoffensive.

22oz bottle-Slightly hazy golden body with no head and a slight aroma of yeast. Taste of sweetness, yeast, alcohol, and a dry finish. Not the best but not the worst.

Pours bright golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of noble hops, herbs, cookie, white wine, banana and pears. Taste is cookie malt, lightly bitter herbal hops, with fruity notes of pear, white grape, banana and bubble gum. Medium to full bodied with lively carbonation. It seems as though this is their Duvel clone, and its pretty good.

Bottle. Pour is a clear and light gold with a finger or so of white head. Aromas of cloves and bananas with a bit of an acidic or urine edge to them... smells kind of unappealing, to be honest. Maybe urine isn’t the best descriptor, but something smells kind of off. In the flavor, this weirdness comes off as a bit of a metal and a bit of vegetation rot that intertwines with the sweet honey malt, banana and clove yeastiness and the peppery edge from the hops. Man, this just isn’t what I expected.

Pours a thin clear light straw color with a few stray bits of white foam floating around. Mild Belgian yeastiness and sugar, vaguely citric aroma, almost funky. Taste is slightly sweet and real grainy, mild Belgian yeast tones. Tastes real thin, like mixed Duvel and water together.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy light golden with a small fine white froth. Strong aroma of distinctive Belgian yeast, fruity, lightly metallic, banana, bready, doughy. Flavor is upfront candied banana, quick tangy sweetness that quickly dries out, doughy, crackers, yeast, lightly fruity, some noticeable alcohol in the finish that is also fairly hoppy, spicy, peppery. Medium bodied, heavy water feel, larger sparse carbonation.

Sampled at Johnny’s Sidebar. There is a lot about this beer that says Belgian. Yeast and candi sugar are two examples. It was also malty. Interestingly, there was an unexpected hop bitterness that offset some of that sweetness.

Alcohol, spicy, with hints of banana in the aroma. Pours very light blonde with little head. Spicy, some citrus, cereal grain flavors, a little bit of banana fruitiness, metalic aftertaste that lingers. Not sure if i like this one. Although i love most everything they brew.
