Aromas are of sulfur, Belgian funk, musty basements, malts & earthy hops.
Musty tasting, some Belgian funk in the flavors, along with yeasty biscuits. Earthy hops round out the flavors. Decent mouthfeel, medium body. Great summer time beer overall. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a crystal clear golden with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is alcoholic with spicy yeast and citrus. Tastes is much the same. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and warm slightly hot alcohol. Nothing special. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Poured a light light golden color with tons of carbonation, small head and almost no lacing. Aroma was yeast and grass not what i expected at all. Flavor was to much grass and yeast not sure if this should even be a belgian. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 12, 2009 Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is of yeast, spices, and slight banana. Flavor was better then I was expecting. Spice, slight hops, yeast, and a little banana are the stronger flavors. Not much warming on this one. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Golden body with a spritzy head that leaves a firm white cap once it finally settles in place. The nose is firm and forward, with a nice mix of Belgiany esthers, including pear, apple, cinnamon and spice. A nice layering of caramel and honey malts balance the body with the continued push of spicy yeast. Finishes crisp and dry, very saison-like. I really enjoyed the yeast in this one. jefcon (1001), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Glassy, clear and rich light gold in color. Plenty of yeasty aromas and a bit of lemon. The palate is rich and silky. Low carbonation. Nearly tastes like a saison because it has a little woodsy malt. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA
