Commercial Description:
Hades is brewed with a rare Belgian yeast strain that gives a complex spicy flavor and aroma. Noticeable hops and medium malt character make it an extremely well-balanced, crisp ale. Hades goes great with a bowl of fresh mussels, crusty bread, and virtually any artesian cheese.

Picked up 22-oz bomber from Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear golden blonde brew with a thin and fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a fine film and some spotty lacing around the white ring. Aroma of typical Belgian banana ester yeast, some multi-grain malt lemon zest, and a touch of apple. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with some white pepper, grassy hops and a touch of multi-grain malt. Finish has a good balance of dry and semi-sweet character with a slight grassy hop aftertaste. I did not pick a lot of alcohol presence in this beer.

Bomber. Poured a crystal-clear bright golden with a short cap of white head sticking around. The aroma picked up a whole bunch of peppery spices and lighter banana notes with sweet toffee and floral accents. The flavor was all about the spices with cloves and white pepper everywhere.. pale malts and some light fruit at the base, but were swallowed up a bit by the spicage.. still quite tasty. Medium-bodied with high, creamy carbonation over the middle.. very spicy finish.. decent balance overall.

Bottle 650ml
Appearance: Clear golden ale with medium , bright white top 3+
Nose : Aromatic hop with sweet grainy malts. Softer yeasty bottom with wheat like ending accents 7+.
Flavor/Palate : Medium bodied, some wheat , high on carbonation. Semi strong on malting , mineral hop with yeasty connection. Ending of raw hops with basic pale malts. Reminds me of Belgia Fraters.

Bottle. Bright golden and clear. Little head. The aroma is vaguely banana-laced. Drinks with a exceptionally smooth mouthfeel. Very drinkable, easy-going Belgian-style. (#3628, 8/2/2009)

Bottle at Dæmningen - shared with Mette & Henning. Clear yellow - white head. Fruity, flowery, yeast, light licorice, light malty, light hoppy. Medium carbonation. Just a Belgian ale - Boring !!!

Complete piss yellow with a little white head & nearly no lacings. Aroma is of straw, yeast & wheat. Medium bodied. Light alcohol sharp taste. Defenetly crisp - no doubt. But perhaps a rather boring Belgium ale. Not complex in any way. However the taste is powerfull enough & this is still very well made & enjoyable. Grainy, hoppy, alcohol, malty (wheat) & sligth spicy (coriander mainly)

Bottle. Fairly perfumed nose. Hazy pale yellow. Light body, perfumed belgian bubblegum yeast notes, really pushed over the brink by the aromatic hops. Medium to light body, sparkly mouthfeel. A beer your grandmother might dab behind her ears.
