Commercial Description:
Hades is brewed with a rare Belgian yeast strain that gives a complex spicy flavor and aroma. Noticeable hops and medium malt character make it an extremely well-balanced, crisp ale. Hades goes great with a bowl of fresh mussels, crusty bread, and virtually any artesian cheese.

Sweet citrus aroma comes through in this bright golden ale with a big thick white head that lingers. Taste is smooth and sweet with some banana, and the tartness one expects in a Belgian. Some pleasant sourness in the finish. Alcohol does not present itself, but there is a little warmth after the swallow. Good stuff.

Not bad. Pours out a clear amber color with a nice beige head. aroma is rather sweet and spicy as is the flavor. Lots of sweetness going on here. Interesting brew, but not quite what i had expected to from GD

Very pale yellow color with small white head. Looks like a adjunct-lager. Aroma is clean with notes of pepper and apples. Mouth feel is crisp as described. Sweet sugary finish with some light bitterness, but not much acidity to balance the equation. Watery finish. Easy to drink and well made, but uninteresting yeast profile.

(Bottle 65 cl) Clear, pale golden with a white head. Aroma of yeast, malt and fruit. Full-bodied rich with sweet, pale malts, notes of fruit and vitamins and a solid bitterness in the finish. 230807

It’s golden like the average pilsner and the head is huge and nice. The aroma is spicy, slightly fruity, sweet and yeasty. The flavour has sweetness, notes of spice, yeast, light fruits and a citrussy bitterness in the finish. It’s quite OK and harmonic, but not outstanding - so stick to the nice US style you have!

Bottle (65 cl) shared with gnoff, marsiblursi & larsniclas. Shady golden, medium white head. Yeasty, spicy, peppery, slightly sourish. Medium bodied and smooth. Nicely balanced with a dry finish.

Bottled. Average, rapidly dimishing white head, with some lace. Poured clear yellow. Nose was lemon and a little horse blanket, vanilla, and coriander. Medium palate, with lively carbonation and a pleasingly dry, almost funky finish. I liked it, though I thought it was more saison-like than the describption’s "Belgian ale," which is strikes me as overly generic given the wealth of Belgian ale styles. Kind of like calling something a "German beer."
