Clear pale golden--not quite to the point of straw though--and a minimal white head. A small fizzy head does rouse, though not for long. Belgian yeast, light pepper, hints of orange and fainter orange rinds, and light bready malts. There is also a light soapy smell. Where the aroma only hinted at some bitterness, it shows up front in the flavor somewhat strong, if only for a moment, and then turns to some herbal notes and spicy pepper and alcohol. Some Belgian yeast and citrus is still evident. Dry finish. Low carbonation with a thin medium body. Of their two new beers (I’m not sure if they’ve released any more), I’m unimpressed so far. It is nice to see them taking a stab at a different style, though. Skinnyviking (4187), Copenhagen, Denmark

Not especially complex but good. Pleasant smooth and well rounded fruity barley malt flavor without much bitterness, actually it is pretty sweet. Low carbonation. Short sweet and fruity aftertaste. Alcohol, though, is well hidden. MPA (515), Nørrebro(formerly Aalborg), Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Bottle. Golden, white head. Yeasty, sweet aroma with a little citrus. Sweet flavour with traces of yeast and a nice freshness. Slighly bitter and with a little alcohol going out. Passable, but it didn’t do much for me. BritAlesRule (84), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Pours clear golden with small head retention and decent lacing. Mildly hoppy and spicy with something smooth and plasticene in the background. Medium-light mouthfeel with immediate mild hop presence on the tongue. I would never say this has a medium malt character. Lacks complexity, but very drinkable. Great Divide brews the big beers so well, if they wanna go Belgian, maybe they should brew a quad. Clear and golden with a small, sticky head that lasts well. Spicy aroma of a wit without the bubblegum: bitter citrus peel, coriander, and some added zesty-herb hoppiness. Tastes more of hops and bitter citrus than most Belgians I have sampled. There’s some malty bubblegum flavors underneath but the spices, hops, and noticeable alcohol are all a bit too dominating for me to taste much malt. LIght-medium bodied, astringent, and dryish mouthfeel. ucusty (1919), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 10/20 | Jul 4, 2007 This reminds me of a lager with a slight hoppiness to it. This is a great summer beer as it pours transparend gold. Not lots but plenty of carbination. The one finger head disapates to a light film as the bubbles rise to the surface. at 6.99 its a little pricey either way im enjoingit!
