Commercial Description:
Hades is brewed with a rare Belgian yeast strain that gives a complex spicy flavor and aroma. Noticeable hops and medium malt character make it an extremely well-balanced, crisp ale. Hades goes great with a bowl of fresh mussels, crusty bread, and virtually any artesian cheese.

November 21, 2008 vintage. Clear golden pour into thick frothy white had that dissipates into sticky lacings on the side of the glass. Aroma of piney hops and malty sweetness. Initial flavor of bitter malty hoppiness which quickly fades into malty sweetness finish. Another drinkable ale by Great Divide.

strawish color; white head The finish is what makes this beer very crisp hoppy finish; clean light sweet malt in beginning. will drink more

Warm, spicy aroma. Pale golden color with a decent white head. Thinnish body with almost creamy carbonation. Very smooth. There is a complex spicy flavor, with a bit of earthiness. More sweet than dry. The finish is spicy, lightly sweet, and hop bitter. Crisp, yes. Clean, ? It’s very, very delicious.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a medium bubbly beige head. The aroma is very spicy and yeasty - very Belgian, also with a touch of fruit primarily peaches. The flavor is powerful and complex with notes of fruit, spices, alcohol, yeast, and more. The dominant spice is coriander. The alcohol is very strong and felt on the palate and warms the mouth.

Described as a golden ale at my bar and this faired well in that respect. Nicely poured and full flavor profile with a nice hop addition made this golden more bitter than your average selection. Well made.

Bottle. Obviously a Duvel sub, this has the similar pale straw color, but the head lacks the fluffiness. Pear, bananna, and light spices are pleasing, with an esthery finish.

Hazy light yellow pour with a fizzy and short lasting head. Pretty strong floral aroma with spice and yeast notes. Good carbonation, initially starts out pretty sweet. Wheat and dough towards the middle. Peppery towards the finish which is crisp, slightly bitter. I thought it was underrated.

Glassy, clear and rich light gold in color. Plenty of yeasty aromas and a bit of lemon. The palate is rich and silky. Low carbonation. Nearly tastes like a saison because it has a little woodsy malt.
