NDbeerdrinker (164), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA May 7, 2009 Pours a golden color with a thick white head. Wow on the aroma, incredible. Huge piney and floral hops. Taste is more of the same, with a nice malty backbone. This is a hop bomb. Great beer. petematte46 (212), Dallas, Texas, USA May 6, 2009 Pours out a deep amber color with a small head. It is kind of thick and flavor is very hoppy which is a taste i am starting to enjoy AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA May 5, 2009 22oz - Gold liquid with light tan head, some particulate, hops on nose. A little waxy, with a bitter grab and oily texture. A little sweet. cmonster (73), Portland, Oregon, USA May 5, 2009 Bomber poured into a tulip. Bottled on Aug 25 08. Polished copper in color. Slight haze. Fluffy off-white head which leaves a nice lacing as it slowly disapates. Very aromatic nose of sweet, yet heavy malt and orangey hops. Full body. Big malt flavor: Creamy and sticky. Hoppy, bitter, and long lasting finish. Cleverly hidden alcohol. Not my favorite DIPA, but a nice one none the less. acearl (207), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA May 4, 2009 On the wiki list of colors, we’re going to call this Persimmon, white creamy diminishing head, decent lacing, hazy, citrusy prune odor, creamy texture, piney, floral and my favorite hint of resin to grapefruit hop citrus flacor, very smooth, not too long bitter but leaves the right aftertaste wanted in a double IPA. Love this beer, one of the best of its category. evergreen0199 (259), London, Greater London, England May 3, 2009 Bottle at home. I have had this ale a number of times now. A copper coloured ale with a smallish head. Strong aroma of citrus, pine.... Malty and quite bitter but incredibly moreish. Hops really dominate throughout, alcohol not too noticeable despite 9.1%. A nicely balanced brew. Bloody excellent! kiefdog (1567), Tampa, Florida, USA May 2, 2009 Bomber from Whole Foods (Tampa, FL). Pours a slightly hazy dark amber to copper color with a massive foamy tan-white head that settles slowly. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of pine, citrus, malt, caramel, honey, some hints of grapefruit and toffee. Flavor is sweet and floral with notes of piney hops, malt, caramel, citrus, some hints of honey and bitter floral hops. Generally medium body with a pleasing malty and floral hop finish. Rune (2748), Tromsø, Norway May 1, 2009 355ml bottle served lightly chilled in a trappist glass at Bar & Cigar in Oslo. Dense, but modest, off-white head resting on top of partial clear, dark amber body. Fine laceworks on the glass. Smell of smooth, piny hops and sweet malts. Rich hoppy flavour exploding in the mouth containing different kinds of fruity shells supported by caramel malts. Delicious and lingering endnotes of dry bitterness. Very enjoyable, but quite heavy to drink (Oslo, 28.04.2009).
