Commercial Description:
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules' aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

22 oz. bomber. Pours amber with a head that lasts. Had a strong piney/citrus hop aroma. Flavor hit me with some caramel followed by huge hop bitterness on the end. A well balanced beer that is very enjoyable and hides the 9% alcohol pretty well. Overall an excelent DIPA.

22 oz bottle. Unctuous pour with a persistent medium white head. Gorgeous color and clarity. Great nose, a little softer on the palate would have made this perfect. A little too medicinal for my taste. Lots of alcohol- beware.

Pours a light copper orange with a thick white head. The aroma was citrusy, with a little carmel, and strong hops. The flavor was citrusy with a nutty hint to it. It was also very hoppy, a plus for me. The feel was very smooth with a bitter finish. A great IPA.

650 ml bomber from Zinister. Pours a translucent copper color with a big sudsy white head that leaves plenty of lacing. The aroma is that of a classic IPA with plenty of citrus, pine and caramel. The flavor, like the aroma, is rich with pine, citrus and caramel, but its the hops that dominate with a good biter bite. The mouthfeel is full, smooth and malty. The finish is long and biter-sweet. Overall: This is one of the finest IPA’s on this planet, it exceeded my expectations by a long shot.. I love it. Thanks Zin, after a hard day at work this is great beer to come home to.

22oz bottle, Pours a hazy golden orange with a beautiful creamy frothy head with some nice lacing. Aroma is grass, and fresh hops, lots of fresh hops. Flavor is quite nice, some decent malts on the front and a long finish of pungent hops. a great double ipa here.

hazy dark golden pour with small amount of sediment in the bottom, full creamy head. grassy, flowery hop aroma. great lacing. dark malts at first landslide into a burst of fresh vibrant hops. Very well balanced with the malt. Creamy mouthfeel, tingles the palate. Rich and hearty, impressive hop profile but also substantial, biscuity, malt character. Nice dry, woody finish. Indeed, fit for a god.

12oz. bottle at home: Tons of loose sediment in the bottom of the bottle. Lightly hazy dark copper beer with creamy yellowed 1 finger head. Now thats quite an aroma. Resiny pine needles with mixed citrus fruits and a nice toasted malt backbone. I can almost feel the lovely yellow resin from the hop cones running rampant in my nostrils. The malt underneath really adds a nice balance to the aroma with its cookie dough sweetness. Once in the mouth you get a quick flash of dark caramel malt right before a hop sunami bowls you over. Upfront resinous hop character leads to big citrus "C" hops. A "hop sweetness" rides along for a moment before a nose twitching green sharpness takes the wheel. The nice biscuity and cookie dough like malt sweetness just can’t balance out a sharp green leafy knife to the back of the tongue. Still this is a nicely made beer. At first it seems hop forward but still balanced, but at the end it gets pushed just a touch too far.

Bottle. Clear dark amber with a thick, foamy white head. Big citrus hops aroma. Huge taste, nice balance of bitter citrus hops with sweeter malt. Nice lingering smooth bitterness. Very tasty Double IPA.
