Commercial Description:
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules' aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Nice fruity aroma and flavor of bitter and semi-sweet which leads to a smoother after taste.

Plenty of fruity aromas with a nice underlying lick fo sweet hops. Funky barnyard note as well. Aromas are very clasy and done well. Sweet AND bitter hops collide in the mouth at the same time. Astringent and powerful finish. Carries the 9.1% with incredible ease. Over-the-top but great fun.

22oz bottle. Pours a rich golden amber color. White head that disappears fairly fast leaving behind sticky lacing. Great bitter citrus taste with good note of hops. Not overpowering as far as DIPAs go but well balanced. Drinkable to say the least as alcohol is fairly well hidden. Another very good offering from Great Divide.

Bottle. Pours amber with thick white head. Nice strong hop aroma. Taste is bitter with alcohol, not much else. More an IPA with a shot than an Imperial IPA

Well done double IPA. Good overall flavor with an intense hoppiness. I really like the citrus flavors.

Pours orange with a bit of head. Highly hoppy nose. Flavor is very citrus including flavors such as orange and a bit of lemon. Enjoyable for sure and not ’just a hop bomb.’ However, don’t let that comment make it seem like it is not hoppy, just less so than some other IIPAs. Very dry finish.

First rating so I may be liberal, but what a beer to start rating with. It lived up to everything and more that people have said. 22 oz. bottle. Color was clear dark amber. Big off-white head (wheat glass...only available at time) with great, lingering lacing. Hoppiness was intense but blended well with malt sweetness to keep the bitterness in check. Although alcohol is on high side, it never interferred with the great hop taste. I’m glad I found this beer!

A beer could not have named better...super tasty IPA with tons of floral hop goodness in every taste....this is the kind of beer you should think twice when ordering...they are not calling it HERCULES for nothing! A serious "meaty" IPA for IPA fans everywhere...very well made.
