Commercial Description:
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules' aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Pours honey colored with off white head and lively carbonation. Hoppy nose followed by assertive whiffs of alcohol. Substantive palate. Nice malt sweetness to balance. Lives up to is name!

The aroma has notes of caramel besides the hop. Perhaps also some malt. The colour is copper-red with a very nice head. The flavor is grassy, but also bitter, but very well-balanced.

Shared w/ Juart. Pours a very slightly hazy amber burnt butterscotch color with a thick fluffy head. The aroma has a ton of floral, but a little bit of citrus as well. Caramel and grapefruit. Has an extremely hoppy, yet extremely well-balanced flavor. Lots of caramel and toffee malts. Hop flavor is mainly floral. The bitterness left on the tongue is very mild and pleasing. A nice thick mouthfeel as well.

Pours copper with a thin off white head. Aroma is hoppy, citrus, and floral. Strong pine and resin character. Good hoppy finish but not as bitter as I was expecting. Hides its alcohol well. Good DIPA.

Excellent IPA. Pours golden brown with a rich and frothy head. Flavors are hoppy, floral, and fruity from sip to swallow.

Love this big IPA. Golden-amber pour with nice big persistent head. The Hops are much more prominent than the rich malts. You can really taste the variety of hops. A great representative of the style.

Aroma of deliciously malty caramel hops. Nice floral hints too. Very pretty amber/orange pour with a frothy inch of off-white head. I was hoping the initial sweet malt/toffee taste would last a little longer before the hops kicked in, but as i swallow the hops are all over and powerful. This leaves a strong bitter taste that lingers. Nice creamy full body though, very tasty.

Reddish copper color, soft off white head. Grapefruit hoppiness, but not too sharp aroma. Some malt tones. Full body and medium carbonation. Citrus and pine notes, mainly hops flavors. Good bitter bite in the dry finish, but not overly hopped.
