KungBrew (3), USA does not count Jan 8, 2008 With a heavy heart I concede this to be the victor over my loyalty to Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA. Does not compare to the Maharashi IPA., however. Smooth, sweet, with a full and complete flavor. Balanced with alcohol content and overall taste, a beer I would use to bring others into the circle of quality beers. badinplaid (103), USA Jan 8, 2008 V ery Hppy. Nice pour with amber color and rich thick head. Paired well with a rich red pasta sauce or spicy red meat dishes. johndavidj99 (123), Township, Maine, USA Jan 8, 2008 Updated: Feb 29, 2008RE RATE: Copper orange with satisfying head. Aroma is of pine/citrus hops and malts...yum! Alcohol is well masked by well balanced flavor of hops and malts. It definitely has a malty backbone and has a crisp bitter finish. It has a creaminess about it that is unbelievable. I don’t know how Great Divide does it but it is the same creaminess that Yeti has. It is to be appreciated. kseecs16 (865), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jan 8, 2008 Bottle. Poured orange hued amber with a moderate off-white head. Trenemendous lacing. Resiny hops aroma, floral sweet and full. Taste is herby hobs, quite bitter with a subdued sweetness and a dry body. It opens up as it warms into a more balanced sweet citrus and floral hop bitterness. Mouthfilling bitter dryness dominates the palate of this full bodied brew. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA Jan 7, 2008 Copper to amber in color this beer poured a 1/2" head that dissipated rather quickly leaving some very light lacing. The nose is filled with classic scents of piney hops and grapefruit followed by a touch of caramel. In the mouth these flavors continue into a midpalate which has good weight though finishes quite dry. The palate has good richness and balances the alcohol. awwshiz (76), USA Jan 6, 2008 Very bitter beer, went well with a cheesesteak. I would recommend seeking this beer out if you’ve never tried it norsedoc (162), USA Jan 5, 2008 12 oz bottle. When I first had this at the taproom, i didn’t think much if it. My view has changed. Deep golden with dense off-white head. Aroma of orange and cream. Oily on the palate. Orange/caramel flavors with a load of hops nicely balanced withh the malt. ksurkin (354), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Dec 31, 2007 Updated: Jan 16, 2009pours an amber/ruby color with a good 1/2 inch white head. aroma is slightly sweet with a thick hop profile, grapefruit, orange peel, and a hint of peach. the palate is very complex with huge hoppy bitterness, citrus flavors, and a malty/sweet aftertaste that was quite unique. mouthfeel is thick, a bit chewy, and nicely warming at 9.1%.overall, a delicious DIPA .
