| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2004 Hazy amber body with a fluffy white head. Fits my ideal for a perfect-looking beer. Pine sap and grapefruit in the potent aroma. There were sweet floral notes when the bottle was first opened. Big flavor that’s approching harshness. Starts with caramel malt but is quickly overwhelmed by palate-punishing spicy, citrusy hops. A cookie-cutter I2IPA. plovmand (1737), Helsinge, Denmark

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 30, 2004 I scored a coup on this brew when I snapped it up while at Sam’s wine & spirits in Chicago a couple of months ago. I have since found out it is available locally, which is also a good thing. Rich, sweet, floral IPA; very hoppy. Dark cloudy amber in color. Very attractive. Light tan, avg. sized head. Excellent lace. Very hoppy. Sweet. You can tell there’s quite a bit of alcohol, but it is well masked. Long finish. Piney resin. Excellent brew. Rivals the big boys like Stone Ruination. I’d love to put them head-to-head. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 2, 2007 Bottle: Pours a orange/golden color with lots of frothy white head and thick lacing. Nose is intense with floral and piney hops, a bready malt scent, and hints of alcohol. The taste is packed with hops, floral and citrus mostly. Some pine, caramel, and malt is also present. Warming in the finish and overall a well balanced, intense flavor IIPA. SudsMcDuff (1711), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

The head is quite good, but the lacing is exceptional!
..Colour is of dark fresh honeycomb.
.smell is rustic pine cones, fresh crushed hops, pine needles, and honey.
.Sits oh so kindly in the mouth, not overly heavy.
.The drink of Spies.
.Alcohol is very well hidden and it warms your belly up!...it beats the ole slave labor camp..
I enjoyed this beer quite a bit but it was almost to smooth, it just disappeared outta my glass, like that "__________" ..
