| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 3, 2005 Bottle Poures a hazy orange amber with a huge fluffy head that was off white and lasted till the bottom of the glass. Strong aromas of hops, the citrusy kind, and sweet malts. Some fruity notes as well Flavors seemed very well ballanced. The hops were strong but in a blunt way. The swet maltiness was a nice compliment and the two tangod in my mouth untill I had to crash theur party with a roobust gulp. Nice full fairly heavy feel and an appropriate lingering bite. Very nice, but as far as the elite 2IPAs I’ll still go with the 3F MrBunn (1560), Western, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Bottle. Dingy orange body with two to three fingers of khaki head. Aromas are sublimely hoppy... pine and grapefruit with a little bit of floral background notes. Flavor is sweet at first, but the hops bite comes through relatively quickly... malt is a little darker than most IPA’s... more toffee like than caramel and there is a little bit of a woody/earthy note to it as well. Hops are well done and held in check nicely byt malt, to keep thing from getting too out of hand, but the tradeoff is that this comes off as a fairly sweet and syrupy IPA. mjs (1555), Helsinki, Finland

Lost of hops with caramel and grain. Good body and juicy hop flavor. Some caramel malts and citrus flavor. Grapefruit and lemon zest. Balanced. Quevillon (1540), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada

Aroma of citrus hops, cracker malt, and sweet caramel malt. Flavor is quite malty--crackery and caramel. Some dark fruits and raisiny notes. A good IPA...not sure if this is old or if it’s supposed to be like this, but I didn’t get much hops from this. So it was just ok.

Update 8/29/09: Got a fresh bottle and it was much hoppier this time. Still lots of crackery malt and sweet malt but also lots of citrus. No dark fruits/raisins. Very drinkable and pleasant.
