Commercial Description:
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules' aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

22 oz bomber. Poured a clear amber color with a huge white head. Citrus aroma. Very hoppy taste, but well balanced. Great beer.

Bottle, trade with 123456green, Real good nose. Pineapple. orange,grapefruit, rubberbands, yes I mean rubber bands, like a whole new box of them, caramel/toffee. Hazy brownish orange color. Small headthat faded quickly. Bitter sweet flavors. Alot like the aromas, more emphasis on the grapefruit. Kinda tinny. Medium bodied,lite creamy mouthfeel, bitterness that lingers, burnt/citrusy. Nicely done Hop juice.

22 oz bomber. Pours a gold copperish color with a medium sized beige head. Smells of intense pine needles. Has that west coast ipa taste to it. Excellent !! Citrus, pine, floral hops, and a hint of vanilla best describe the taste.

hazy orange, tight white head. a knuckle sandwich of huge piney hops in the aroma with perfume, grapefruit and caramel. flavour follows and is super hoppy and bitter. pine dominates again with more grapefruit and toffee-ish soothing malt. a hop monster with style

Bronze. Off-white head. I love hops. Big hops with hints of sweet malt in the nose. All hops up front, more balanced in the finish, aftertaste is bitter hops again. Medium body. Fit for this god anyway, but to each his own. If you don’t dig the hops, steer clear of the dumbell.

Flavor is big hops (of course) that range from citrusy to earthy, but I wasn’t necessarily picking up the usual piney type of flavors. The malt backbone is reasonably balanced, but leans towards hops... the malt hits on cream, caramel, slight nuts, and a bit of roast. All in all, not bad, but not my favorite!

Bottle from a gift pack. Amber colour, white head. Aroma of hops, grapefruit, pine. Flavour is bitter, hoppy, grapefruit and pine, a bit soapy, malty sweet. Bitter finish. I prefer the Titan IPA, but I wouldn’t spit in this beer.

Bottle. Aroma of citrus and piny hops, big biscuity malt, pretty evenly divided. Flavor again evenly divided between sweet, semi-sticky malts and juicy hops. Very good if not wowing.
