It lived up to everything and more that people have said. 22 oz. bottle. Color was clear dark amber. Big off-white head (wheat glass...only available at time) with great, lingering lacing. Hoppiness was intense but blended well with malt sweetness to keep the bitterness in check. Although alcohol is on high side, it never interferred with the great hop taste. I’m glad I found this beer! hoplover (166), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA

It pours a beautiful foggy dark orange color. Up from the beer arises this tan head that sticks around till the shows over. The flavor is so intense but smooth... I hope the Lord has this beer for me in Heaven. There’s truly no harshness to it. It’s smooth sailin’ all the way down.
Thank you Great Divide. The Lord bless the hop harvest. gyllenbock (309), Stockholm, Sweden

Very nice smell, lots of hops. Very tasty with lots of hops and a heavy grapefruit flavor. Well balanced, its complex character leaves you wanting more. BrianDorry55 (117), Spring Hill, Florida, USA

Pours bright red/brown with a thin beige head. Aroma is alot of pine and sweet hops...very strong. Flavor is alot of sweet pine sap, and almost a hint of caramel or cocoa. Very robust flavor. This is amazingly smooth for an IIPA...not much aftertaste. This is the best IIPA Ive had...tons of flavor, great aroma, and super smooth. TikiE (360), Sylva, North Carolina, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 17, 2008 Bottle, Utobeer, London. Poured amber orange with a good size off-white head. Aroma was citrusy, floral hop and a dash of pine. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavour is very hoppy, toffee, grapefruit, then balanced with a decent malty finish. Hop bitterness lingers very well. A pleasure to drink this. Darn good brew. WesKBob (321), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Sep 24, 2008 Pours a beautiful copper amber color with a thick white head with good retention and lacing. Lots of floaties. Aroma is strong with piney hops and a hint of citrus. Wonderful hop bite from start to finish with just a hint of sweet maltiness. Yes, it’s very hoppy but it’s not bitter for the sake of being bitter--it’s actually very flavorful and a surprisingly easy drinking beer. Very smooth and really masks the 9.1 ABV well. This is not just a great IPA, it’s a great beer all the way around. imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA
