Commercial Description:
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules' aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

An extremely enjoyable beer. A wave of citrus-y acidic bitterness washes over my mouth with the first sip, but it’s not overpowering...very smooth. The thing that really sets this IPA apart is a superior mouthfeel...for a double IPA this is an extremely drinkable beer. One of my favorites

Wow, packs a big punch. Tons of big piney hoppiness, not for the faint of heart. 85 IBU’s? Nice. A very well crafted double IPA. Great colour, mouth feel, exactly what a hop head wants.

This beer did much to confirm that Imperial IPA is my absolute favorite beer style. In the last 100 beers, I’ve had a chance to try many new styles, but I keep coming back to my original favorite. This beer has great color: an clear, fresh orange and it pours with a huge, off-white head that lingers. The aroma is fresh and inviting, in the mouth there are a medley of fresh citrus flavors with a decent yet only supporting malt backbone. I got orange, grapefruit, pine with a great dry and exceptionally long finish. An excellent beer. Special thanks to my wife, Peggy, for bringing this back from Atlanta, I wish that she had brought the entire 4-pack!

This double IPA pours a caramel color and leaves a thin tan lace that sticks to the side of the glass. The smell is fantastic, some great hoppy, floural, citrus, apple, and pine essence all comes out. The taste of this beer is great, "a hop packed punch". This beer is great all the flavors I expected on my palate just come out lemon, citrus, floural, hops, even some sweetness honey is what I’m tasting. This beer is well crafted, I would consider pairing this with some lemon chicken and sauteed asparagus it would really bring out the the citrus flavors in the beer.

A beer could not have named better...super tasty IPA with tons of floral hop goodness in every taste....this is the kind of beer you should think twice when ordering...they are not calling it HERCULES for nothing! A serious "meaty" IPA for IPA fans everywhere...very well made.

Perfect IPA! Aroma is subtle and hops don’t overpower. Copper color with good tan head. Flavor is strong, hops bold yet leaves the palate clean (unlike many IPAs).

Poured deep amber with a persisting thin white head and lacing. Aroma of sour fruit and pine. Opens with a touch of sweetness followed by a superbly balanced hop flavor, primarily herbal and green apple peel. There is a lingering bitterness of citrus zest. The alcohol remained well hidden until the beer warmed some (it’s hard to drink a bomber quickly!), at which point it became somewhat distracting. A beautyfully balanced double IPA!

A great imperial. Wonderfully hoppy flavor and packs a serious punch. Have 2 or 3, light a montecristo #2 and enjoy the night.
