Aroma is very balanced...a perfect match of hops and malt with nice citrus notes. Flavor matches the aroma. Great balance for an IIPA. This beer is nothing new for an IIPA but it somehow puts all the elements together better than most. This is really good. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jun 18, 2005 Dangerous. Bottle to end a good night after Oasis concert, at Volo. Dark Orange pour, decent sized white head. Huge hoppy nose, more floral than citrus (and sort of earthy), matched by the equally in your face hop taste. But make no mistake - this is remarkably well balanced, there is a lot of beer here, tons of caramel like malt makes you realize this is a substantial beer. Packs a huge punch but dangerously drinkable. I’ve been waiting for this one and it did not disappoint, thanks Ralph for getting this in, a real coup for us Toronto beer drinkers. shameusburp (171), Virginia, USA

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 2, 2004 Thanks to BrooklynBoy and JPDIPSO for this one (2 is definitely not enough). Pours coppery/orangish, with a big, off-white, creamy head. Big aroma of hops, citrus, honeydew melon, grapefruit. Tastes super hoppy, fruity, piney. Finishes smooth, crisp, hoppy, with a burst of hops, citrus, melon, florals, spice, and even honey at the finish. Unbelievably complex, very well balanced, and one of the better beers I’ve ever had. The Great Divide "regular beers" didn’t blow me away, but their big 3 (Titan, Hercules, and Yeti) definitely deserve their place in the all-time pantheon of ratebeer. tmad (93), Dayton, Ohio, USA

The aroma teases you to taste this fine IPA. Very enjoyable, just the right amount hops for that grapefruity, piney, citrusy taste. The alcohol content is well hidden. My preference is dark beer like Imperial Stout, for an IPA this is at the top of my list. hayduke (1659), Eureka, California, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 4, 2008 From a 22 oz bottle this poured an attractive dark orange almost tending toward copper with a nice white head and good lacing. Very attractive. Nose is a complex mixture of hops, with pine, citrus, and flowers. Miouthfeel is fairly full but the flavors are so overwhelming you hardly notice because your taste buds are dancing. This is a true hop bomb but manages it better than most .Great bitter finish. Fantastic beer. Rating number 1100. I get music. Odeed (1677), Bakersfield, California, USA
