Jan 6, 2009 Updated: Mar 12, 2009On tap. Wow. Rich rich rich in fresh hops. Aroma of pine and resin. It is hard to find the words to describe this hoppy flavor. Some hops have different characteristics, and there seems to be a few varieties in this brew, but how do you describe them? I tasted a bit of soy sauce, some herbal bitterness, esters, and just loads of delicious hops. Excellent IPA, up there with Ruination and Dreadnaught as the best I have had.

Jan 31, 2009 A surprisingly dark orange pour, with a dense (though fairly thin) white head. This one has a powerful aroma! Packed with citrus hops - lemon zest and mandarin orange, with a grassy undertone. Big, bold earthy hops dominate the flavor, with a good sweet backbone to counter. This one has a great balance. Nice and thick, but still lively - definitely up toward the top of the list of DIPAs I’ve had.

Mar 5, 2008 Bottle pours a cloudy dark amber color. Head retention is good and aroma from the glass reminds me of a beautiful bouquet of flowers hand delivered on valentine’s day. Has wonderful taste and flavor with a strong malt character with some floral notes that make want to make beer love to hercules style. Very tasty.

Sep 23, 2007 Total commitment. This is one beer I don’t see many people drinking except those IPA-loving fools (like me) since it has such an aggressive hoppy-ness. Nice copper color, good armoa, slight citrus taste on first sip then POW! hops. Mellows a bit with more tasting into a great beer with complex flavors.

Dec 31, 2007 Pours a honey color with a thick and sudsy head. Off-whitish. I can smell it even before I get the glass to my nose. Lots of bitter hoppy citrus and a little bit of sweetness. Tastes of bitter hops baby... Bitter hops up front, syrupy, sweet, bitter hop finish. A great DiPa brew, very nice. Thick, but well carbonated and bitter enough to break up the thickness. Good choice.

Dec 31, 2007 Updated: Jan 16, 2009pours an amber/ruby color with a good 1/2 inch white head. aroma is slightly sweet with a thick hop profile, grapefruit, orange peel, and a hint of peach. the palate is very complex with huge hoppy bitterness, citrus flavors, and a malty/sweet aftertaste that was quite unique. mouthfeel is thick, a bit chewy, and nicely warming at 9.1%.overall, a delicious DIPA .

Jan 8, 2008 With a heavy heart I concede this to be the victor over my loyalty to Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA. Does not compare to the Maharashi IPA., however. Smooth, sweet, with a full and complete flavor. Balanced with alcohol content and overall taste, a beer I would use to bring others into the circle of quality beers.

Jan 23, 2008 Great beer.... Poures a great amber color with a tall tan head. Hops are the first taste then a complex kind of honey taste comes. This is a great Double IPA. I will buy this beer again.
