Commercial Description:
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules' aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

mmmm....good..or great, whatever. This beer literallly hopped out of the 22 oz. bottle. The sweet floral hops were great, as if I was smelling the flowers in full bloom. Poured a nice deep copper with a lasting finger width head. Excellent lacing, as I could tell how many pulls I had from the glass. It wasn’t many. The alcohol was definitely noticeable, so that may a drawback for some. Definitely an ale to revisit.

22 oz. bomber at The Map Room. Pours a cloudy amber/orange. There are mild fruits and malts on the nose along with the usual pine and citrus. The taste was at a bit sweet with a large malt presence. As i made my way through the bottle it really started to grow on me and the balance struck me as nothing short of spectacular. This one is really nice.

Bottle. Poured an orange brown with a small white head. Citrus and hop aroma. Wow it smells great! Hop flavor, great hop flavor. Not too overbearing but brillantly balanced. A nice bitter taste from start to finish. Excellent!

22 oz. botte. pours a slightly cloudy orange/copper with a long lasting medium off white head. medium carbonation. Aroma is of pine, citrus hops/grapefruit/orange, slightly floral, and slightly earthy. Taste is of same, balanced well with malt. Wish I could get this one more often.

An orange red with a translucent haze. Bold head with a nice glaze. Sweet, carmel, and hoppy smell. This is a great full bodied beer.

22oz bottle. Pours a rich golden amber color. White head that disappears fairly fast leaving behind sticky lacing. Great bitter citrus taste with good note of hops. Not overpowering as far as DIPAs go but well balanced. Drinkable to say the least as alcohol is fairly well hidden. Another very good offering from Great Divide.
