Commercial Description:
Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules' aggressive, punchy hop profile. 85 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Sampled from numerous bottles and draught at the brewery. Tight silky white head and clear orange-copper body. Strong pine and grapefruit in the nose. Malts are mostly buried at first and then gradually reveal a cherry quality. Big woodsy hop flavor. Like a boreal forest with occasional fruits for gleaning. This is a hop monster. Fresh Hercules is a demi-god among Imperial IPAs (and Dreadnaught is a god). Ho-hum when not so fresh.

A great DIPA. Lots of hop aroma, flavor and biterness. Citrus and toffee/carmel flavors. This stuff is great.

Dark orange with big and thick, slowly dissapearing foam. Bittersweet piney aroma, hints of grapefruit and pine-apples. Very hoppy, grapefruity and piney flavour with sweet undertones of exotic fruit. Long hopbitter finish.

Wow, this stuff is just great. Ive had this bottle for a little while and was saving it to drink with someone else but man I wish that I would have done this all alone instead of with another person. This stuff is just great, really. Amber copper in colour with a big medium lasting offwhite head that is thick and full. The nose is sharp with hops and malts warm and fufilling. The taste is very malty right off the bat, warm and smoothe but then there is copper and wow hops but not the kick you in the back of the head hops like in the dreadnaught. This thing is very easy to drink and is just great. Body is full but not thick. Check this thing out if you can.

Big piney/citrus nose. Clear dark orange hue with a huge head and great lacing. A lot of hops hit you up front. It has a good malt profile to back up those hops. It hides the alcolhol in with a smooth texture. Nice smooth, dry finish. Great beer.

Very similar to DFH’s 90 minute. But, I might like this one a little more. Gorgeous coloring, very hoppy, but not quite as much malt on the backside. Still maintains a complexity of malt which some IIPA’s miss. Fantastic IIPA and the best offering I’ve sampled from Great Divide.

Purchased this 22 oz bottle from Whole Foods in Vienna, VA. Nice clear copper pour with a lovely off-white head. Citrusy, strong hops aroma. Quite enjoyable actually. Citrusy, fruit taste. Smooth, and the alcohol is not overppowering at all. Not sweet or bitter. Very delightful. A great beer!

Bottle pours a hazy deep golden, large white dishwater like head, extremely light carbonation with fantastic lacing.   Citrus, hops, and lots of caramel on the nose.   Forwardly sweet, caramely, but quickly switches to a normal IIPA hop assertiveness.   Medium body and mouthfeel.   Finishes rather clean and crisp for a Double IPA, with a nice hop bite.   Sweet aftertaste, which is quite nice.   Thanks goes out to TChrome for the trade!
