Braudog (3463), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates May 7, 2004 Had this at a nearby taproom after visiting the brewery. This is a HUGE beer with a skyscraper of a rocky head. This is big and chewy, makes you pucker, and is only for the staunchest hop lovers. I prefer their Titan IPA, but if you’re in the mood for the monsters, this is right up there.
Beerman6686 (782), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2008 Poured a nice ruby red color with a big off white head. Aroma was really nice and hoppy, fresh pine notes stick out the most. Flavor was also very piney and some citrus notes as well. It covers up the alcohol very well. this stuff is excellent and is right up there on par with hopslam and pliney. wetherel (1067), Carlsbad, California, USA Oct 13, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Amber color. Small bubble head. Super easy to drink. Great hoppy aroma. wcampbell (441), Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 12, 2008 Very strong and full bodied, but still highly drinkable. The hops cover up any alcohol flavor. Not as bitter as I expected due to the strong amber malt presence. Nice balance of malts and hops. Medium carbonation, but not much head at all. Lingering grapefruit hop finish. Dorqui (1291), Brescia, Italy Oct 10, 2008 Draught at "Italia Beer Festival 2008" - Brescia.
Dark red color, nearly brown. Optimal aroma, powerful and decided with balsamic notes of flowers, blows, red wine, stum. Much alcoholic and solid taste. Homogenous, mellow, long-lasting and aromatic. smag4life (16), Groton, Connecticut, USA Oct 9, 2008 Man, I love the smell of hops. Nice orangy copperish color, very pleasing to the eye. Poured with a decent off white head that left a lot of lacing on the glass. Very bitter, as the label says. All 85 of the IBUs alluded to on the label are there. Citruisy flavor from the loads of finishing hops I’m sure they used. Overall, a great beer. but not an every day drinker.
