| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2009 12oz bottle (2009) into a pint glass. Pours brown but mostly red when held to the light, with a slight white-ish head. The aroma is some fruitiness, but a lot of chocolate, caramel, and nuttiness. The flavor has some chocolate, a bit of fruity esters, big nuts and roast, and even a dash of coffee. This isn’t a bad brew at all! hirigalzkar (590), Stockholm, Sweden

Aroma: Sweet and malty aroma.
Appearance: Redish brown color varried between clear and a little hazy.
Flavor: Medium bitterness and lightly sweet.
Palate: Medium body
Overall Impression: This beer definitely would keep me warm in the cold months. I liked the amount of matliness and hops. A solid beer to enjoy. taphandle (34), Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Dark beer with a very light tan head that had decent lacing, but is disappearing quickly. Two holes in my head detect a milky, creamy sweetness. The mouthfeel reminds me of my previous beer, Yeti, but lighter. I taste roasted or black malt and the twang goes to the back of my tongue and is a little more harsh than I’m ready for. Most of the finish is gone before the minute hand can swing around, then it’s time for another sip. I like this beer, but wish I had another Yeti sitting around. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 10, 2009 Aroma of slight vanilla, spruce, and caramel. It poured a dark maroon color with great head and lacing. This brew has an initial taste of herbs, grass, and has a strong roasted malty finish. Decent on the way down. Overall this is another good reason to go to the beer store during winter. Pailhead (2603), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 9, 2009 Bottle: The aroma contains lots of chocolate and caramel along with some roasted nuts and alcohol. It pours a transparent reddish-orange with a quarter inch beige head. The flavor starts with some chocolate and caramel. The finish has some watery roasted nut flavors with some mild citrusy hops and just a hint of alcohol. Overall the flavor is pretty bland. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation and a soft mouthfeel. I was really looking forward to this one, but it fell way short of expectations. I’ll have to give it another shot soon.
