Commercial Description:
HotShot ESB is an easy-drinking and remarkably smooth Extra Special Bitter, brewed in the classic-English style. More assertively hopped than ordinary bitters, light copper-colored HotShot showcases clean hop flavors, balanced by its slightly fruity nose and light-caramel malt character.

Dark orange colored, cloudy appearance. Vanishing yellow head. Flowers, caramel, chocolate and good crispy hops in aroma, slight lemon also there. Medium bodied. Flavor has dominating lemon with hoppy character, also some caramel comes up. Some toffee in aftertaste with bitter touch.

bottle. hazy amber pour with thick foamy head. caramel malts dominate the aroma. orange, sugar, hops follow. body is lighter than expected. malts taste roasted, bitterness lingers and comes at a delay. fairly plain.

I found this kind of bland and undistinguished. Hard to describe as a result. Not bad, but nothing special--though I’m not a devotee of the style.

Poured a copper-orange, with a huge white head. Aroma of flower, fruit, citrs; a little soapy and earthy. Very bland taste; watery; some malt and citrus hops.

Easy drinking? In america, that equals "Bad" =) But this is all good. Flowery aroma with some stickiness, blossom! Normal beer colour, thick white head. The beer jumps up and punches you in the face! Nice flowery, pineapple bitterness. Very long, bitter finish.
