Sweet roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Tasted like dry roasted cocoa beans and fresh coffee, with some vanilla and alcohol. Very smooth!

The initial mouthfeel and taste was very complex. Then the hops kicked in. I then dry heaved (almost wet heaved) on the finish. I don’t think I have ever tried a brew that made me wretch. That was the longest 22oz beer of my life. Oddly enough, I think I may get it again. My taste is probably not mature enough to handle it yet.
Let me reiterate. Any comment that seems negative, is a reflection of my immature palatte, this was quite the beer. It was the finish that got me ever time. jesperhammer (333), Copenhagen, Denmark

First time on tap, and that is a success.
Black with brown head.
Vanilla and roasted on the nose.
So smooth, so roasted, so good.
Very bitter for a stout, I like that.
Very creamy, I guess more than the bottle version?
Fantastic beer. I should not have had it following a night of many good beers, but who could refuse this? VeloVampire (490), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Poured a black, black, black, obsidian with a small mocha head. Aroma of burnt coffee grounds, black licorice, vanilla. Flavour the same - smooth, slightly boozy, no oak coming through prominently, except as a slight vanilla component. Green hops very present. Thick, round in the mouth. Special, wonderful brew.
