Commercial Description:
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Pours like dark coffee and smells like it too. Thick creamy brown head. Aroma of espresso and chocolate-covered cherries. Thick, silky mouthfeel, a meal in a glass. Tastes of roasted coffee beans, vanilla, caramel, and cherries. Smoky finish. Rock on, Great Divide. You’ve made a truly awesome beer!

Poured from a 22oz. bottle into an Orval chalice. Pours like black coffee with a milk chocolate color head that thins quickly but leaves nice lacing. Strong aroma with hints of cherry and overriding smell of roasted malt. Creamy texture and nutty coffee flavor combined make this one of the best beers I have ever tasted.

Pours thick with a caramelized head. Smells like coffee and perhaps a hint of bourbon. Tastes similar to a Bells Java Stout but with a thicker palate and slightly more taste of alcohol. A wonderful beer.

Bottle that I have been saving since 09/2008 for my 100th rating. Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a nice thick tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee. The coffee stands out slightly more when it hits the pallet. The feel is real cream with slightly more cabonation than I would have expected by the look of the beer. I have an Expresso Oak aged Yeti waiting for me, but I don’t know how it could be much better than this. Worth going out of your way to obtain this beer.

A fantastic imperial stout that I can get at any time. Thanks Great Divide! Pours a thick black with a nice roast and a ton of chocolate, dark fruits and oak. Flavors follow, with a great ballance. Great brew.

Shared with Steve. So I have now had the original, the oak aged and the oak aged espresso, and I think that with these beers the oak aging tames the hoppiness a little bit. I like the oak age better than the original.

Poured Black. with a brownish head. Chocolate, roasted coffee, and Oak.. not as hoppy as the regular yeti imperial stout. I still like the oak aged espresso yeti the best out of the bunch
