Commercial Description:
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

Bottled. Nose of sweet roasted malts, vanilla, caramel and hops. Black body with a creamy, brown lasting head. Nice lacing. Full bodied. Hops, roasted malt, chocolate, molasses, liquorice and oranges in the flavour. Oily texture. Sweet/ bitter finish. Great and very enjoyable.

Draught@EBF, Copenhagen Apperance: Dark brown with a brown creamy lace. Aroma: Roasted malt, Ripe fruit, Bitter chocolate. Flavor: Vanilla, Espresso, Milk chocolate, Licorice, Spices. Hell yeah! Palate: So damn smooth it’s almost scary. Nice initial sweetness from the wood ending with a nice portion of bitter hops. This is a damn good beer. Up there with the very best imperial stouts!

Pours a thick deep dark brown. The nose is roasted malts, and hints of chocolate. Comes across the palate as mild chocolate & coffee notes with and fine vanilla finish with alight bitterness.

In the bottle from By the Bottle in Vancouver, WA.
Same great appearance, flavor and texture as the standard Yeti but with a very nice, smooth vanilla oak characteristic. I’d like to see this beer after being laid down for a year or so.

Bottle. Stored for about one year. Black color with a brown head and good lacing. Aroma: Roasted and sweet malt, american hops, coffee, chocolate, black currant, wood, faint vanilla and alcohol notes. Flavor: Roasted/burned, sweet, chocolate, espresso, licorice, black currant, oakwood, vanilla, faint alcohol and a bit of hop bitterness. Smooth and full-bodied. Very nice.

Almost completely opaque black, Espresso and Coffee notes, with a mild vanilla finish and a touch of hops on the tail end.

Pours nearly pitch-black with coffee head that dissipates, but the lacing is excellent. Aroma of roasted malts and chocolate. Really strong flavors, but not overpowering because of the balance - I get some molasses and espresso, a lot of burnt coffee bitterness, but also that touch of vanilla from the oak. Well-masked alcohol and a great creamy mouthfeel.

Very thick almost pitch black pour with very small dark head. Big flavor of roastiness, oak, molasses, espresso and bready malt. Very appropriate and not overpowering mouthfeel.
