Aroma is vanilla, molassas, dark candied currents and malt. Alcohol notes well hidden. Big mouthfeel and flavor. Smooth and malty with only hints of vanilla oakiness (unlike so many other oak beers that I don’t like). Medium malt body balanced nicely with the hops. Finishes with a nice hoppy cleansing bite.

Big vanilla oak aroma right off, then lots of citrus hops and caramel, The Oak aging definitely smooths it out with a Vanilla cream. Clean hoppy flavor, soft milk chocolate and caramel, port-like vanilla sweetness. Lingering citrus hop finish.

Medium to fat bodied, not that silky nor creamy, but quite harsh instead. Strong malt & hop bitterness, again chocolate and vanilla, especially as it warms in the glass.

Aroma has a lot of coffee, roasted malts, molasses and nuts. Flavor is sweet, caramel, toast, chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Thick body, smooth and creamy. The intense hops and malt character are almost overwhelming at first sip. The malts give it a burnt toffee flavor, countered by the bitter hops. Poured about the same... pitch black with a thick caramel head. Left awesome lacing all the way down. Aroma of hops, roasted malts, vanilla bean, and coffee. Aroma was similar to the yeti but with less hops, but the taste just exploded. Man from the first couple sips I was just enthralled in this beer. Its smooth and refreshing and delicious and everything I want in a stout. The complex taste and smoother finish than the original make me like this one more. Beautiful pour. Dark brown/black in color with the light brown head filling half the glass with tight bubbles. They shortly fade leaving plenty of lacing behind. Roasty aroma of chocolate, coffee, dough, and hops. Smells thick, tastes thicker. Full bodied. Chocolate and coffee here as well. Plenty of hops to balance the roasted malts. Aroma is mostly caramel, anything roasted here hides behind the barrel. Flavor similarly caramelized, balance between the sweet toffee flavors and complexity in the background, tannins, creme brulee, heavy roast, licorice. Honestly there’s a bit too much going on in terms of balance to the sweet flavors, a bit more of a mishmash than a really complex beer. Full bodied, warm, great sipping beer with a lot of bourbon character.
