Deep copper pour with a very thin tan head. Lots of caramel and hints of nuts in the malty, scotchy aroma. Some butter in the flavor. Pretty smooth but leaning toward the thin side. Low carbonation. Full of caramel, malts and some nuttiness. I’m not 100% sure this beer hasn’t gone bad. I just opened a different Great Divide beer with the same older-style label purchased today from the same place and it was infected. Maybe it’s just that I find it hard to believe that Great Divide makes something this average. Hmmm... Tmoney99 (4767), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 25, 2005 Bottled: Amber coloured. Clear. Huge beige dense head. Buttery, hoppy, fruity and citric aroma. Flavour is sweet and sugary. Has a light hop character and is light malty and fruity. Is medium bodied. Ends on a light bitter note. Quite easy to drink but slightly uninteresting beer. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2005 Translucent amber pour with a sticky, tan head. The aroma is sweet and inviting - a nice blend of toffee, caramel and candied plum. The body is lighter than I’d expected, but pleasing none-the-less. A great nuttiness overcomes the initial hop bitterness and draws out into a sweet, buttery finish. Mads Langtved (2246), Copenhagen K, Denmark
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 17, 2005 A bit hazy amber appearance. Caramel and fruits dominate the flavour. Finish is slightly sweet and malty. Some hops present too. An acceptable beer. 5000 (2455), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 14, 2005 Bottle: Coppery amber, translucent, moderate off-white head, fairly nice lacing, light carbonation. Malty/grainy aroma, biased towards the grainy side. Malty start, hay/oat flavors, subtle astringency, semi-sweet and slightly nutty on the back side. Nice body, mediocre mouthfeel. Clean finish, a bit of a graininess lingers beyond the end. Not bad, solid, but nothing extraordinary.

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 11, 2005 Slightly hazy orange-amber colour. Earthy, slightly caramelly, crackerlike aroma. Earthy, slightly toasty, slightly caramelly flavour. Medium body. Good balance. A straightforward amber - and thus devoid of any particular attractions - but decently made.
