Commercial Description:
Our homage to the beers that have quenched the thirst of Belgian farm workers for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, Saison is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats–a beer as refreshing as it is complex. 7.3% ABV.

22oz bottle. Pours a hazy gold. Its definitely a saison. Nose is yeasty sweet with light spiciness and lots of grassy, hay filled lemon notes. A somewhat off putting cleanser note is also present. Flavor has a great fruity light spicy flavor. Modest sweetness. Missing the spicy profile of the best saisons. A pretty solid effort from a pretty solid american brewery.

Light gold color. Smells of pine and yeast. Sweet flavor with yeast undertones. Not too bad of a beer, just not my style.

Cloudy yellow pour with a huge and frothy white head. Musty bready aroma. Nice, spicy flavor with a definite tart finish. High carbonation. Slightly fruity, yeasty aftertaste. Pretty good.

Pours a hazy gold. Just a wee bit of funk on the nose along with hay and lemon pith. Flavor is grainy with yellow fruits and a slight tart twinge.

Bomber shared by robert at SL, this one was drank at home. Poured into a snifter, light orange/yellow color good fluffy head. Nice aroma of yeast, spices and bread. Taste is very nice. Slight tartness to it, lots of yeast, bread and light spices. Great saison... Light in texture with lots of carbonation. Overall a great beer. Thanks robert for sharing!

Bottle (22oz). Shared by tupalev with me, blankboy, garthicus and gregclow - did Jeff provide ALL the beer for this tasting?!!! Thanks again, Jeff!. Cloudy gold pour with a swirly, creamy off-white head (3+). Aroma of banana, pear, yeast, dry spice, some alcohol and plenty of grassy bitterness to tie it all together. The taste follows - lots of clover and lemon; tingly: good. Lively mouthfeel, fruity, yeasty, with a sweet fruity/spicy linger. And excellent hoppy (but not over-hopped) take on a saison - we quite liked it.

Bottle. Poured cloudy yellow with frothy white head. Aroma of spice, fruit and a yeasty whiff. Tart flavour, fruit, spice, citrus. Something off, not sure what, in the finish. Possibly the inclusion of rice in the mix. Refreshing on a hot day.

22oz bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a big white head. Funky and yeasty aroma that is sort of skunky. Some sweet malt in the nose as well. Yeasty banana flavor with a spicy finish.
