| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 13, 2009 22oz bomber. Pours a hazy, cloudy straw/yellow with a medium-thick white head that leaves a few small spots of lace on the glass. The aroma is doughy and bready with hints of grass and grain. The flavor is mildly sweet, bready and malty, with subtle hints of clove spice and grassy hops. The finish is yeasty with subtle soft fruit esters, notes of grainy pilsner malt, and some light grassy hop bitterness that balances the beer brilliantly. The mouthfeel is sparkly and fluid with a medium-full body. Overall, this was an impressive farmhouse ale. I was genuinely surprised out how tasty and accurate for style this beer is. Very nice. egajdzis (3629), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Pale yellow with a Brussels laced head. Piquantly phenolic nose that pricks and tickles. Tart wheat fields and zingy yeastiness. Body is charcterized by Belgian funk and is full-bodied, phenols are much less pronounced. Zingy body and indistinct spiciness. Crisp. A great saison to start the summer.
