| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 25, 2009 Color is a light yellow gold with a slight haze. Carbonation is good producing a big loose head. Aroma of spice and banana with a sour note. Taste is light, crisp and spicy. Starting with a lighter body it goes down with a crisp easy feel. Finish is a light sweet fruity taste with hints of banana and pear then a little yeast and coriander come in ending with a faint bitterness. After taste is dry with a mellow tart feel. This is a very good Saison very refreshing with light even flavors. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 26, 2009 This bottled brew from a rating party poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a hazy typically carbonated yellow-white colored body. The complex aroma was floral malty and farmhouse. The semi-thick mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of a malt backing and soft floral hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again. very nicely done! jhumphries69 (736), Tyrone, Georgia, USA

Pours a hazy, cloudy straw/yellow with a medium-thick white head that leaves a few small spots of lace on the glass. The aroma is doughy and bready with hints of grass and grain. The flavor is mildly sweet, bready and malty, with subtle hints of clove spice and grassy hops. The finish is yeasty with subtle soft fruit esters, notes of grainy pilsner malt, and some light grassy hop bitterness that balances the beer brilliantly. The mouthfeel is sparkly and fluid with a medium-full body. Overall, this was an impressive farmhouse ale. I was genuinely surprised out how tasty and accurate for style this beer is. Very nice.
