Feb 5, 2009 Smells a little like notebook paper and sun scorched driftwood. Very very soft on the nose. Slight haze to the golden color, little head. I get some kind of a minute rice starchy thing going on here and it’s distracting. I love where they’re going here but this blond isn’t for me though I still like it for what it is and would be proud to have it in my fridge.

Feb 2, 2009 Bottle courtesy of unclemike. Pours a cloudy yellow with white head. Aroma of citrus, faint malt. Flavor has signs of citrus, faint malt. Mouthfeel is light-medium body with high carbonation. Not bad.

Feb 2, 2009 Bottled. A hazy light golden berr with a thick lazing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of rice and citrus. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of rice and light flowery notes of hops as well as a touch of yeast. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Jan 28, 2009 bright yellow gold with a thick sticky head. flavor is yeasty and sweet, but kind of bland like a watery golden ale. palette is clean and bright. nice alternative if not in mood for a lager or hefe, but not particularly exciting.

Jan 26, 2009 Poured a really lovely light pale color with a big generous "whipped egg white" foam head. Aroma was kind of sharp and crisp. Maybe a little bit of spice? This one was hard to place. Flavor was also very crisp. The carbonation brought some things to the forefront, but I’m not sure if I was biased from knowing that rice was used in the brewing, but all I could pick up was Rice Krispies. Sort of the same light puffy crisp flavor you get with a bowl of cereal. I kept expecting it to snap crackle and pop at me. Not bad, but not good either. Maybe revisit on a hot summer day.

Jan 20, 2009 Smells quite sweet, slightly fruity fragrance to it. Taste is slightly bitter hops, quite watery and lacking in flavor overall. Not as bad as I was expecting from a rice beer, but nothing special either.

Fair label (improved since the Big Red Ball picture that is displayed as I write this,) cloudy light honey gold, big white head, flocculent white sediment. Starchy APA flavor, with a green nut/grassy quality and astringent finish. Pedestrian. Liquor Loft.
