Slight haze to the golden color, little head. I get some kind of a minute rice starchy thing going on here and it’s distracting. I love where they’re going here but this blond isn’t for me though I still like it for what it is and would be proud to have it in my fridge. Swalden28 (1531), McKinney, Texas, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 26, 2009 Poured a really lovely light pale color with a big generous "whipped egg white" foam head. Aroma was kind of sharp and crisp. Maybe a little bit of spice? This one was hard to place. Flavor was also very crisp. The carbonation brought some things to the forefront, but I’m not sure if I was biased from knowing that rice was used in the brewing, but all I could pick up was Rice Krispies. Sort of the same light puffy crisp flavor you get with a bowl of cereal. I kept expecting it to snap crackle and pop at me. Not bad, but not good either. Maybe revisit on a hot summer day. mrant (330), New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Jan 20, 2009 Smells quite sweet, slightly fruity fragrance to it. Taste is slightly bitter hops, quite watery and lacking in flavor overall. Not as bad as I was expecting from a rice beer, but nothing special either. Aurelius (2655), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 20, 2009 Lightly smoky, tart, funky ale aroma. Fair label (improved since the Big Red Ball picture that is displayed as I write this,) cloudy light honey gold, big white head, flocculent white sediment. Starchy APA flavor, with a green nut/grassy quality and astringent finish. Pedestrian. Liquor Loft. NomDeBeer (400), Maryland, USA
