Apr 30, 2009 Cloudy golden yellowish pour with little head. Sweet almost like super light floral smell on the aroma. On the palate you get a bit of pear, slight hint of banana and a finishing tart flavor. Very odd I normally love their stuff but this one was hard, just don’t get anything out of it.

Apr 19, 2009 Bottle. First beer using my new slightly weird Urthel Tripel 12oz rounded mini-stein. Bog foamy head. Hazy yellow. Strong carbonation with hazy suspended tiny particles. Earthy grain and grass aroma with a hint of cooked egg. Tasty beer for a hockey game. Smooth. Faint hint at fuesel note. Bit of a lactic finish.

Apr 16, 2009 Marshmallowy head that lasted the entire tasting. Golden in color. Slight hop aroma, but it didn’t seem to last past the opening of the bottle. Pleasantly carbonated. Unexpectedly bitter.

Apr 13, 2009 Pours a hazy whitish gold (think wit bier), fizzy head diminishes into nothing very quickly. Aroma is predominately PNW hops, a bit of cotton candy, and a very slight veggie note. Flavor is well hopped, typical PNW piney tones initiate, followed by honey, mild toast, nuttiness, and a slight grassy finish. Does not have the typical adjunct flavor I would expect from a beer with rice in it. I like it.

Apr 8, 2009 Moderate bitterness, light aroma, an inch of foam all in one bottle of Samurai. It did go well with Nathan’s hot dogs and Final Four basketball.

Apr 6, 2009 Bottle. Poured a yellow color with a little white head. No lacing was left on the side of the glass. Aroma was earthy, rice, malts and spice. Flavor was clean and crisp, some bitters in the aftertaste. Very smooth and little body. Very decent for a light, summer beer.

Apr 4, 2009 Pale golden pour with white head. Aroma of malt and spices. Clean taste, mildly sweet malt with rice, fruit, and cloves; it has a bit of corn in the slightly bitter finish, almost like Budweiser. Very nice mouthfeel.
