Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Pours the deepest mahogany, almost opaque black into the glass, with a light head that thins to a cap down the glass. Light roasted malts to the nose. The flavors are very complex, with some semi-sweet chocolate and roasts to the tongue. The finish is of very light bitters, more noticed on the back-palate than anywhere else. A decent session brew, nothing overt or multi-dimensional, but just ok. A perfect offering for someone "getting into" porters, but not a top-tier selection.

A bit of a disappointment for me. Mouthfeel was too watery, aroma was off and the flavor was not balanced. Not enough roasted malts for a porter in my opinion.

Poured from 12oz bottle into pint glass. Aroma - Roasted malt with chocolate and coffee Appearance - Dark brown with ruby tinges. Virtually no head at all. Flavor - Milky chocolate and coffee with a nice floral hop on the finish Palate - Medium on the mouthfeel. Not as slick as many porters. Very clean on the finish thanks to the balance of malt and hops. Overall - This is very tasty. Could definitely drink a few!

Pours dark brown in color. Decent head forms on the pour. Smell is your standard piney porter with a good amount of dark roasted malts. There is a good amount of coffee, cocoa and hops in the flavor. Usually I don’t dig hops in my darker beers, but for some reason I’m really liking this beer. Easy drinking and sessionable. Well done.

See through black with lots of ruby and two fingers of active large bubbles in a tan head lots of roasted coffee and malt aroma and some bitter cocoa beans. Light body, a roasted malt taste with a finish of chocolate and coffee bitterness.

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: black porter with large, handsome coffee tanned top. Good lace shown. 4+
Nose: Aromatic euro hop aroma, light , refreshing not something you would expect from porter. Slight roasty base hid behind. 7+
Flavor/Palate : Medium light bodied. Very smooth soft texture. Slight roastiness carried around (of good quality), sweet overall with slight bitterness on edge. Very drinkable, refreshing, fun to have. Perfect brew for thirsty session lovers.

Bottle. Brown-black, bubbly tan head, dissipated quickly. Musty aroma of coffee, malt and sour milk. Creamy feel. Very roasty, but I’m not really tasting much chocolate. No lacing. As it warms, milk and roasted malt flavor all I’m noticing; mild bitter aftertaste is pleasant. Better as it warms. Feels, tastes stronger than 6 percent. Worth drinking, but just a solid, uncomplicated porter.
