Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

deep brown with a thin layer of beige head, the aroma is chestnut and slightly caramelly. full bodied, this porter is very nutty and surprisingly dry. this is a smooth brew that is straight forward: a classic porter.

From a 12 ounce bottle--Poured a light brown-amber body with a tiny clear head. Light, roasted, and mildly chocolaty. Great bitter bite in the finish and rich caramel and coffee notes. Very nice beer!

12 oz bottle from Lukas Liquor Superstore. Pours a smooth reddish brown with no head. Leaves minimal lacing. Pretty clear looking body. Smells of sweet roasted malts, silky chocolate, red liquorice, nutty. Mellow roasts and rich milk chocolate tastes make it really balanced with the hops. Really nice. Medium body that finishes kind of foamy, but dry. A light lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall, a really nice porter. Pretty standard taste, but a lot of it. Not too complex or intense, which helps balance this nicely. I would definitely buy this again.

[1501-20080617] 355mL bottle. Grainy roasted malt aroma has some bandaid and a hint of coffee. Clear, dark mahogany wine body with a quick foamy light tan head. Coffee roasted malt flavour is watery with an aftertaste of bandaid toast. Full body is thin. Fair.

Burnt coffee aroma. Frothy white head with fair lacing, mostly diminishing. Clear body with an average density. Dark Amber/Brown body. Light bitter flavor. Oily texture with a soft carbonation. Pretty well balanced.

Dark brown pour with thick creamy tan head. Nose of cocoa, and some coffee. Flavor is roasty malt and more cocoa and the coffee comes through in the finish. Medium bodied. Pretty decent porter.

12 oz bottle in English Pint. Vigorous Pour results in a dark brown/red with a massive tan head. High malt aroma, with hints of chocolate. Flavor is in accordance with the commercial description (chocolate and coffee), but a bit overly hopped and bitter for what I like in a Porter. Palate is creamy smooth, but finishes much too dry for my tastes. Overall a decent Porter, but not as good as I hoped.
