Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Poured a nice dark dark brown with a tan head. Aroma was very roasted and coffeeish. Flavor was also very roasted coffee, and a bitter hoppy finish, not too sweet at all

12 oz bottle. Poured deep brown with an amber hue. It has a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Tastes comes in strong roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and some hop bittering in the finish. A little thin, but not bad.

As far as porter’s go--this one approaches a very classic taste with undertones of hazelnut. Refreshing and reliable.

12 oz bottle, my first from this brewery. Very dark brown, really obscures the light through the glass. Generous head that lasts. Yeast character has a fruity aroma, smells like fresh crusty wheat bread, mild earthy hops. First sip is bitter and aggressively roasty for a porterwhile remaining smooth. Dextrinous body, sweetness lingers a bit then leaves the tongue coated with astringent bitterness. Good beer.

Brown with a tan head that disappears much faster than the beer from the glass. Aroma is very metallic with notes of roasted malts and not much else. Thin and watery body is very creamy and has notes of mild roasted malts and mild chocolate that led to a metallic and chalky finish. This one lacked the substance and character one would expect out of a porter.

Dark red-black beer with small tan head. Nose of slight roast and cloudy chocolate. Taste is sweet with roast notes. A creamy beer that is good, if simple.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and soy sauce. Poured dark red/dark brown in color with a small tan head that disappeared. Clear. Sparkling. Light to medium bitter flavor. Tastes of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, cream, and a bit of piney hops. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Roasted malt finish. Boring.
