Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Bottle, pours nice and dark wtih a nice light brown head. Aroma is smoky and coffee. Initial hit on the tongue is carbonation followed by coffee, chocolate and a bit of a thin mouthfeel. Flavor is nice. Palate leaves something to be desired.

12oz bottle, only couple oz’s sampled. First impressions: Very nice flavor and creamy texture. Its a straight forward solid porter. Will try more of this.

Pours very dark, medium head. Not much of an aroma that I detected, but the taste is outstanding. Strong, smoky coffee/chocolate flavor. Hops are barely noticeable. Leaves a pleasant aftertaste, solid porter.

Not a bad porter. It has a lot of dark chocolate and coffee in the aroma, after it pours a dark black with a small off-white head. It is a bit watery, but definite chocolate, coffe, and some hops in the swallow and finish. It’s good, but not the best.

Surprised this rates so low. Pours a drak brown, ruby color with a soapy, tan head. Aroma of malts, chocolate, and coffee. Complex taste matching the aroma with some hops at the back end. Not the best, but very enjoyable.

Bottle @ home. Pours in dark brown opaque producing a nice foamy two finger brown head. Aroma was roasted/chocolate malts and a faint metallic smell. The flavor was nice and malty with coffee, chocolate and roasted malt flavor. This massive malt flavor is nicely balanced with mild hopping. Mouthfeel is medium with a very smooth mildly bitter finish. A nice easy drinking porter which opened up as it warmed. A good not great porter.

A strange porter with a mysterious past. Decent enough to pick up at a store once in a while....like once a year.

Poured pitch black. Malty nose. Roast malt and cocoa with a hint of fruit and just a touch of hop bitterness.
