Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Pours a dark dark brown with small tan head. Roasted malt and licorice on the nose. Taste is nice deep roasted flavor with a nice finish that goes from creamy to pleasantly bitter. Not the best porter I’ve had but worth the money for sure.

Sample at Bodega. This beer is a nearly opaque dark reddish-brown color with a medium thin beige head that dissipates slowly. Spotty lacing. Caramel and chocolate in the nose along with a touch of coffee. Medium, smooth (almost thin) body with flavors of chocolate and weak coffee, plus mild hops. The finish is coffee and burnt malt. Slightly above average overall.

Bottle pours black with a nice tan head. Head retention is minimal and shows a little lacing in the glass. Smells of coffee and chocolate waft from the glass as I smell it. Tastes wonderful - like mostly chocolate with a nice smooth finish. I really enjoyed this one.

Coffee, almost a little smokiness on the nose. Deep dark brown, though had a lighter clarity quality to it. Rich chocolate and burnt smoky coffee. Good understated hop balance. Nice long finish. All around great Porter.

Dark brown body with tan head. Started out good... very chocolatey with some sweet brown sugar notes but seemed to get worse as it warmed or I just didn’t want more than half a bottle (either way a bad thing). Flavor was slightly metallic and coffee flavr emerged, but it tased like bad old coffee... the kind that’s been sitting in the pot for a couple days. Palette was kinda chalky but it had a decent thick mouthfeel.

Bottle. Nice creamy aroma with some sweet liquorice notes. Very dark brown colour, small unstable tan head. The flavour is creamy, hint of liquorice. Ending with slight smoke notes and a little cardboard. Also has a little alcohol towards end, but not really strong.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee & dark chocolate. Taste of nuts, coffee, and roasted malt with a slight hop bitterness. Has a dry astringent type finish.

Black with a fizzy white head. Chocolate and roasty aroma. Coffee and chocolate taste with a dry roasty finish.
