Taste a little coffee and chocolate flavor. Not bad for a porter (which are not my favorite) but an ok beer. CelticBrew (691), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 21, 2008 Pours a deep chestnut colour with a massive, rocky, but fading kahki head that leaves incredible lacing. The aroma is roasty and somewhat astringent, with some notes of lactic sourness and aluminum. The flavour has the same milky sourness and metalic notes above its rich coffee, nut and chocolate flavours, but it isn’t offensive to me like it is on the nose. The mouthfeel is creamy, slick and a little on the thin side, but with nice gentle carbonation. The residual flavours are roasty and bittersweet. mcox90 (624), Wilton, USA

Some coffee & chocolate in the nose with moderate mouthfeel. Taste was of coffee, chocolate & malts with a slight hop background. I loves my Stouts & Porters & this is a good middle of the road porter. stobbe74 (700), Denmark
