Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

bottle. pours a nice light black with a 1/4" tan head. the aromas are wonderful... coffee, chocolate and malts. nice medium body with low carbonation. this flows over the palate smoothly while releasing the slightly bitter and coffee laced finish. excellent porter.

Sampler at <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/illinois/frankfort/united-liquors/1120.htm>Cardinal Liquors, Frankfort. Great, um, "robust" appearance. A little lighter smell, not too many roasties in evidence. However, the taste is nice and mellow. A smooth porter drink with a nice clean finish.

Bottle at Bishops Arms, Gothenburg. Dark brown color and light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, and some caramel. Tastes of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, dark fruit and bitter chocolate. Roasted finish with some mild hop bitterness. Medium carbonation. Light/medium bodied.

Good roasty smell and flavor. A little malt flavor as well. Not the greatest Porter. Watered non-lingering finish.

Found it in a bottle at a local package store. It has a hint of coffee and chocolate. It has a very mild finish. Wish it had a bit more bite to it.

Bottle. Dark brown body, large rich light tan head, bready nose with some espresso notes. Astringent, perhaps from the carbonation, dark breads, a hint of chocolate and coffee, dry, minimal finish, somewhat thin.

12oz bottle into pint. Pours a dark brown with a thin white head that leaves quickly. Aromas of chocolate and malts with a hint of peanuts. Flavors of coffee beans, with a slightly sweet caramel finish. Has a thin, watered-down mouthfeel for being a "robust" porter. Not bad, but a little disappointing.

Dark, slighty reddish brown color with a creamy tan head. Very smooth on the palate if a bit thin for a porter. Flavor a little dry with lots of coffee and chocolate with a mildly bitter finish.
