Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Aroma of malt and moderate hops. Dark amber color with a large brown head. Smooth full bodied but not creamy palate in the begining. Middle become slighty bitter finishing sweeter.

Pours brown with no head. Very roasty malt and coffee aromas. Flavor includes coffee bean, more malts, and subtle hops in the finish. Well-rounded with decent carbonation. Good character.

From my fall 2006 notebook. Standard porter with a light roasted malt note and a water body with roasted malt and a fruity character.

Draught at ReBar. Chocolate aroma with some plummy notes and charred smoky leaf. Nice chocolate malt flavored body with a touch of dark fruit and even a bit of smokiness. Full and smooth mouthfeel. Pretty good for a basic porter fix.

Bottle poured a dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was roast, chocolate, hops and some burnt malt. The flavor was well balanced with a smooth bitterness and good strong dark malt finish.

bottle- Dark reddish brown with large but not lasting head. Aroma is liquorice and black currant. Flavour is somewhat roasty with notes of liquorice and black currant. I also found it just a little bit too thin and a little bit over carbonated. I’ve had better Porters.
