Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Bottle. 12 fl. oz. Very dark burgundy color with a light tan head. Aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. Medium to full bodied with a soft, creamy texture. Sweet chocolate flavor with a dry, moderately bitter finish. A solid porter.

12 oz bottle, bottled the 1st week of March. Deep, clear brown with a small beige head. Roasty coffee and chocolate nose, some plum and woodlike notes. Cocoa and burnt coffee flavors, a touch of charcoal and light grapefruit. Medium to light bodied. Dry cocoa flavors in the finish. Nice.

Pours a deep brown with garnet highlights and a creamy tan head that laces nicely. The nose is primarily heavy roasted malt backed by coffee. Medium-bodied and slick while remaining lively on the tongue, the mouthfeel finishes a slightly bitter and metallic. Typically, I really dislike a metallic finish, but the other textures and flavors kept it in line. The flavor follows the nose and is of dark roasted malts and burnt coffee. Effervescent, almost prickly on the tongue, this porter concludes with a nice lingering roasted finish.

Get with it, guys...this is definitely closer to a 4 than it is to a 3. Classic look, smell, and taste....you can’t deny it. Don’t front. Comparable with Sierra Nevada’s offering...

initial aroma of chocolate, sweet malt, and metal. strange metalllic flavor with more chocolate and malt. finishes with a bitter coffee flavor and some flowers. felt as if it were missing something. although it starts metallic and strange it does improve as it gets warmer.

Deep brown beer with a dark tan head. Aroma is a bit smokey. Palate is smooth, with a hint of carbination. Flavor is a semi-sweet chocolate with a hint of coffee. A good example of a porter.
