| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 30, 2007 Pours a deep brown with garnet highlights and a creamy tan head that laces nicely. The nose is primarily heavy roasted malt backed by coffee. Medium-bodied and slick while remaining lively on the tongue, the mouthfeel finishes a slightly bitter and metallic. Typically, I really dislike a metallic finish, but the other textures and flavors kept it in line. The flavor follows the nose and is of dark roasted malts and burnt coffee. Effervescent, almost prickly on the tongue, this porter concludes with a nice lingering roasted finish. TheCEO (100), USA
