Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Poured dark brown with nice ruby highlights with little to no tan head. No real lacing. Aroma is roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, coffee, and mild nuts. Roastiness is mild in aftertaste. Mouthfeel is watery. Very drinkable porter.

12oz. bottle - pours brown, with distinct ruby highlights throughout the glass...for a robust porter, it could be darker. As another reviewer mentioned, it looks a lot like root beer. Semi-bitter chocolate and coffee in the aroma, with a faint breadiness in the background. Flavour is very much the same, but with the aforementioned breadiness more in the foreground, along with a bit of smoke in the finish, along with some subtle hops. Emphasis is on chocolate overall in this one. Smooth in the mouth, but a little bit watery...and again, not very "robust". A nice beer, but loses points for being thin in body, and relatively simple overall.

Finally able to try this after a lot of places around me stopped carrying it. Aroma was a blend of chocolate and coffee. Tasted of burnt malt with hints of coffee. Fairly smooth. Coca-cola color. Little aftertaste

Bottle-Black pour with a fluffy tan head that dissipates leaving a thin layer on the surface with good lacing. As the beer warms the aroma and flavor develops. Coffee, chocolate and light spicy aroma with a similar flavor. Little thin on the palate and could be a bit more robust as others have mentioned but otherwise a solid decent beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a ruby/black with a light brown head but seems a little thin when held to a light. Aroma was of chocolate malt and a little coffee. Flavor was similiar but was on the watery side. Not sure I would call this a Robust Porter, perhaps Beginners Porter is more appropriate.

12 oz bottle - pours dark dark chestnut, with ruby highlights when held to the light, and a tan head that fades quickly and leaves nice lace. Not as dark as most other porters I’ve had. Rich chocolate aroma, some coffee, and a roasted barley sweetness. Strange metallic taste on first sip, but other than that, the same flavours are present as in the aroma. Some subtle hops in the background as well, but this beer is mainly about the malt. A bit too watery beneath the coffee/chocolate flavours, but certainly not bad. Nice dry finish. A good porter - I’ve had better, I’ve had worse.
