Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

Thin light brown head of fine bubbles. Nice chocolaty hamburger aroma. Some roasted grains and toffee also. Color is a very dark brown with a hint of red around the edges. Dark coffee and chocolate in the flavor. Little dry and bitter from the coffee. Little gritty also. Decent roastyness and medium bodied. Lingering bitterness at the finish. A pretty good generic porter.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Secret Santa. Pours a very deep dark brown, nearly black, with a thin, creamy light tan head that lasted about halfway through the glass. Pleasant aroma of roasted malt and a bit of chocolate. The roasted malt was much stronger in the flavor, however, it reminded almost of burnt toast. Some bitter coffee noted in the flavor as well, which didn’t help. The surpising thing was with these strong flavors, the mouthfeel was actually a bit thin. This beer lacked any real depth.

12oz. bottle. Dark brown with red highlights and a small beige head. Mild aroma of lightly roasted malt, some chocolate and a bit of cola. Bitter roasted flavor with some coffee and dark chocolate. A touch of lactic sourness on the finish.

A 12 oz bottle with a month and week bottled on lable. The beer poured a dark brown with a coffee color head. The smell is of light hops and not much else. The taste is a wicked toasted malt and chocolate and toffe taste. Nice carbonation and smooth finish. This is a freaking good beer, not to heavy and full of flavor!

Theis og jeg delte denne øl. Ikke kulsort men mørkebrun i farven med beige skum. I smag og duft er ristet malt, kaffe choko og noget mørkt frugt. Mild humle afslutning. Ikke særlig robust men let drikkelig og blød.

Saw this and thought ’Great Divide, Robust’, this can’t miss!! However, I wasn’t impressed with the "robustness" - a lot lighter than I expected. Nice flavor, but not as good as other Great Divide beers.

12oz bottle. Pours a black center with medium brown edges; tan head with decent retention and lacing. Sweet, nougat-like aroma: wet and roasted malts, hints of vanilla and spice. Light-to-medium mouthfeel: roasted malts, hints of chocolate and coffee. Finish is well-balanced, with coffee and citrus hops. Not quite "robust".
