Commercial Description:
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget's Porter. St. Bridget's is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget's is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

35,5 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Dark reddish brown colour with a nice fine head. Mild and soft aroma of chocolate and little coffee-like. Really fantastic flavour of coffee and chocolate in a very balance and mild way. Very nice endeed.

Bottle at home - shared with Mette. Dark brown (not black) - beige head. Roasted, burned, vanilla, dried fruits, licorice, chokolate, light coffe, nice but light hoppy finish.

Dark brown body with tan head. Started out good... very chocolatey with some sweet brown sugar notes but seemed to get worse as it warmed or I just didn’t want more than half a bottle (either way a bad thing). Flavor was slightly metallic and coffee flavr emerged, but it tased like bad old coffee... the kind that’s been sitting in the pot for a couple days. Palette was kinda chalky but it had a decent thick mouthfeel.

In the bottle at the HyVee Oktoberfest beer tasting in Council Bluffs. Mild chocolate porter flavor. Good mouthfeel- rich in body. Milky tartness and a mild finish. Pours dark brownish black with a dark tan head.

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquor - Pours a clear brown color with a good size tan head. Very light lacing. Has a strong roasted/toasted malt aroma. Has a grainy, dark malt, and light coffee flavor. No real hop flavor but the bitterness is there. Has a somewhat smooth, but dry finish. Light to medium body. A decent Porter and it’s worth a try.

Somewhere inside all that carbonation there’s a decent porter. Alas.........

Bottle:Pours a nice dark brown with a sizeable tan head. Smell seems to have chocolate and roastiness to it. There is not much in the way of flavor, compared to the smell. Taste is watery, but still has the roasty hints to it.

ruby brown opaque color, fluffy medium to darkish tan head. aroma is nice roasted chocolate malt, a little smoky like cured meat. mouthfeel is light, tingly carbonation. flavor is roasted malt and kind of bitter & hopy for a porter. bitter aftertaste. not complex, but a nice session porter.
