Mildly sweet, with heavy chocolate and coffee flavors. Nice, light finish for a porter, with a bit of hops. Good flavor, but the aroma isn’t very pleasant. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA

The medium palate lies underneath bitter and almost burnt coffee flavors. Very one dimensional effort from Great Divide. Dorwart (1825), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA

Some roasted grains and toffee also. Color is a very dark brown with a hint of red around the edges. Dark coffee and chocolate in the flavor. Little dry and bitter from the coffee. Little gritty also. Decent roastyness and medium bodied. Lingering bitterness at the finish. A pretty good generic porter. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 26, 2006 12 oz. bottle courtesy of Secret Santa. Pours a very deep dark brown, nearly black, with a thin, creamy light tan head that lasted about halfway through the glass. Pleasant aroma of roasted malt and a bit of chocolate. The roasted malt was much stronger in the flavor, however, it reminded almost of burnt toast. Some bitter coffee noted in the flavor as well, which didn’t help. The surpising thing was with these strong flavors, the mouthfeel was actually a bit thin. This beer lacked any real depth. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

Mild aroma of lightly roasted malt, some chocolate and a bit of cola. Bitter roasted flavor with some coffee and dark chocolate. A touch of lactic sourness on the finish. thehurt01 (206), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2006 A 12 oz bottle with a month and week bottled on lable. The beer poured a dark brown with a coffee color head. The smell is of light hops and not much else. The taste is a wicked toasted malt and chocolate and toffe taste. Nice carbonation and smooth finish.
This is a freaking good beer, not to heavy and full of flavor!
