gnoff (3559), Göteborg, Sweden Sep 10, 2006 (355 ml bottle at The Rover) Clear deep ruby red color, big tan lasting head. Fresh hoppy, but also chocolate scent. Very fresh, like crisp vegetables, intial taste, transforming into smooth chocolate and ending in a bitter and roasted after taste. Medium low bitterness, smooth mouth feel. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden Sep 10, 2006 Black with a tint of red. Fruity. acidic aroma. Vinous, berrylike flavour. Quite acidic. Small notes of tar. jgd0608 (187), Zeeland, South Carolina, USA Sep 9, 2006 bottle. brown with a thin tan head which quickly decipated. Kinda smell some licorice, with some chocolate and coffe accents. Well balanced brew between malt and hops. Something is missin, haven’t figured it out yet. Little bitter, little dry, makin me keep takin more sips. Ehh, Not to bad GarethYoung (1110), Glasgow, Scotland Sep 7, 2006 [Bottle RBESG 06] Roasted aroma, coffee, liquorice, cherry full, dry finish. rickgordon (3285), Göteborg, Sweden Sep 7, 2006 [Bottled RBESG 2006]
Dark brown colour. Fatty hop nose with toast malts along with a rubbery touch. Very dark in its aroma profile. Fruity backbone, dark flavours and pretty caramelly and sweet. A good amount of hops add balance. Medium bitter. JFURYCAT (782), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 4, 2006 This one leans more towards that ashy burnt crisp finish with a soft nutt-chocolate porteresque mouthfeel. A bit bland but smooth nevertheless. Holdwine (904), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Sep 2, 2006 Pours like a good porter should. Strong coffee/chocolate malt nose. Sweet creamy coffee throughout. A great porter. Made for a pub, not eating turkey soup with your 2 year-old, but it stood up to the challenge. ilikestuff (222), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Aug 29, 2006 Sweet aroma, but not too strong. Has a beautiful deep brown color with a nice tan head. Not very carbonated which makes for a very smooth creamy palate. Tastes a little sweet, with a very toasty grain/rice flavor. A great, unique brew.
