Great Divide St. Bridgets Porter (St. Brigids)

Bottled. Dark ruby red colour, minor beige head. Aroma is strong roast malts and old coffee. Also some licorace. Flavour is roast, malts, sweet coffee and caramel. Some slight licorace noteable also. A bit thin and sweet.

<!-- i -->Bottled.<!-- /i --> <!-- br --> Dark brown, no head. Strong dark chocolate and coffee nose. Light, coca cola palate, robust and sweetish flavor. Sweet coffee in the aftertaste. Aroma is slightly better than flavor.

Aroma is smokey chocolate with the usual roastedness. Taste is similar another one dimentional porter.

Pours with a tall brownish head. Mocha aromas. Good mouthfeel, but fairly lacking in the flavor department. Noticeable flaws in the flavor profile; paper and metallic notes are present. Wouldn’t buy it again.

Bottle. Clear dark brown. Small light brown creamy foam. Milk chocolate, nuts and dark malt in aroma. Roasty flavour of chocolate, coffee and grassy bitter hops with a sourish note. Coffee, dark chocolate nuts and black currant in the short aftertaste.

Dark amber, nice offwhite head. Aroma from ashes, coffee, cocoa, toffee notes and milk chocolate. Tar flavor, roasted, a bit vinous and sourish, fruity, some juniper berries. Salty, hoppy finish with sour notes.

12 oz bottle. Dark dark brown pour with a nice brown head. Aromas of chocolate and coffee. Bitter Black Patent malts gave it that classic porter flavor. More coffee too. Pretty good.

Poured black with a minimal head. The aroma was very malty with hints of chocolate and coffee. The flavor is malty with a nice chocolate sweetness. The texture is watery but decent. Bushwick Bill would appreciate this Porter.
